An internal review of New Zealand’s Ministry for Children, known as ‘Oranga Tamariki’ has revealed contentious issues within the sector.
The inquiry looked into the attempted uplift of a 6-day-old baby from his 19-year-old mother at Hawke’s Bay Hospital and has prompted immediate changes to the system.
