Giving up insulin on Newstart payment

No one should have to decide between putting food on the table or taking life-saving medication, but that’s what many living on Newstart are currently experiencing.
Rita Sacchetta is 54 years old and looking for work on the Newstart payment.
She regularly has to choose between paying bills and rent, eating regular, wholesome food and purchasing insulin to treat her diabetes.
