Tackling partner violence against young country women
Posted on: Fri 1 Nov 2019
One in four Australian women over the age of fifteen have experienced intimate partner violence (IPV), but the incidence of this problem is higher among young women living in country areas.
A recent study, conducted by the Australian Alliance for Social Enterprise and Uniting Country SA, examines the unique challenges that young country women face as victims of IPV.
The leader of the study, Dr Catherine Mackenzie joins Zoe Kounadis and Tom Mann to discuss those challenges and the possible solutions.
