Ethics of a 4-day Work Week

Last month, Britain’s shadow chancellor John McDonnell revealed that the British Labour Party aims to reduce the average work week to just 32 hours, without loss of pay, within 10 years of office.

But what are the ethics of a 4-day work week? And what’s the problem with our standard 5-day week?

Nicholas Smith, Professor of Philosophy at Macquarie University joins Breakfast’s Zoe Kounadis and Tom Mann to discuss further.
