Award-winning songwriter performs live

Local musician Gene Phoa recently won an award for his songwriting in SCALA‘s FOOM Festival.
Folklore War is about the search for what is true.
“There’s so much stuff in the mainstream media – there’s a lot of good stuff, but there’s a lot of stuff we’ve got to sift through to find what’s true for us,” he tells presenter Tara Nash.
“And also in terms of the stories we tell ourselves – some of them are positive and some of them aren’t so positive.
“This song is basically that search for what is true.”
