Australia is a racist country—there is no doubt about that— and this has historically been shaped by the way of news media discusses stories of international relations.
Recent reporting around Chinese influence has caused a negative impact on Chinese-Australians.
James Laurenceson, Acting Director at the Australia-China Relations Institute at the University of Technology Sydney, joins Breakfast to discuss the discrimination against Asian-Australians.
