Lobbying for Newstart Increase

The controversial legislation that requires Newstart and Youth Allowance recipients to undergo drug tests in order to receive their payments has been revived by the government.
Lobbyists in Canberra are aiming to meet with politicians to attempt to change the government’s on the legislation and continue to fight for an increase to Newstart payments.
Once such lobbyist, Hayden Patterson, welfare card activist and Raise The Rate Campaigner joins Breakfast’s Zoe Kounadis and Tom Mann to explain the situation.
