Ian Steverson (Capt MN Ret’d): BHP & Other Merchant Navy Ships of WW1,2 and later
Posted on: Mon 2 Sep 2019
In the case of Australian Merchant Ships serving in WW2, one in every 8 of our Merchant Seafarers were lost, yet their service has largely gone forgotten.
Master Mariner CAPT Iain Steverson covers a diverse range of history and stories about the service of our Merchant Navy and its contribution to Australian military history, right up to and including the Australian Tankers running to the Persian Gulf during the Iran/Iraq war in the 1980s.
