Helen Oxenham’s Story

Helen Oxenham is now in her 80’s, and she’s spent almost all of her life standing up against domestic violence, starting with her childhood in Dublin. Helen established one of SA’s first women’s shelters over 40 years ago and she is still campaigning. Spirit of Woman is her current project, working with her daughter and many other women and local councils to create memorials to recognize and honour the struggle to be safe. Helen told her inspiring life story to Nicky Page for Radio Adelaide
