Yvonne Agius – Female Elder of the Year

The outstanding achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in South Australia have been recognised at the annual NAIDOC Week Awards.
Kaurna and Narungga woman, Yvonne Agius, was named Female Elder of the Year. She has dedicated her life to serving the community, including through reconciliation committees, the Port Adelaide-based Grannies Group and supporting Aboriginal people who present to the Nunga Court.
