Protests in Georgia

Georgian citizens have recently taken to the streets for two days of protests with many calling for snap elections following an appearance in parliament from Russian MP Sergei Gavrilov. The member of Russia’s lower house of parliament took the chair of an inter-parliamentary session between Orthodox Christian lawmakers, angering those who see the current Georgian government as overly friendly to Russian interests.
