Copyright law and the Aboriginal Flag

News of the Aboriginal Flag is copyrighted has left many of us confused and surprised.
Currently, WAM Clothing hold an exclusive world-wide licensing agreement with the Flag’s copyright owner, Harold Thomas, to reproduce the Flag on clothing. WAM have issued cease and desist notices to companies such as the AFL and Spark Health, an Indigenous social enterprise.
Isabella Alexander, Professor of Law at the University of Technology Sydney, joins Zoe Kounadis and Tom Mann to speak about the copyright issues surrounding the Aboriginal Flag.\
