In 1913, Suffragette Emily Davison stepped in front of King George V’s horse Anmer at the Epson Derby.

DNA was successfully cloned from an extinct animal in 1984 by scientists at the University of California at Berkeley.

In music, The U.S. Postal Service announced that people preferred the younger Elvis stamp in a nationwide vote in 1992.
