James Chisholm arrived here as a penniless soldier and became one of the most influential men in NSW.  He also became a leader in the movement for democratic reform…  so how did he deal with the personal and spiritual conflicts that arose, including displacement of traditional owners and elimination of their culture?  A fascinating story from our past.
