Artlab’s contribution to SA History Month includes a fabulous free exhibition. A long lost monument that towered over Adelaide in our earliest days following the death of Colonel Light; The books that formed the basis of our SA State Library; Introduction of the secret ballot in SA; Male Suffrage; Votes for women; The Father of Federation; A Knighthood; A burial at sea; The first democratic authority in Australia; and of course that mysterious red-gum bookcase, one of Australia’s most significant pieces of colonial furniture. Justin gives us the background on Artlab’s exhibition and History Month talks.
