Linking health research to service organisations
Posted on: Tue 14 May 2019
South Australian health and community service organisations have come together for a symposium on cutting-edge research and interventions to improve health outcomes of Aboriginal people.
The research was presented by the Wardliparingga Aboriginal Health Equity Theme, at the SAHMRI, and included a focus on strengthening sector-wide partnerships between researchers and service providers.
Tina Brodie, PhD Candidate at Wardliparingga, was one of the speakers at the event.
She speaks to Small Change‘s Lisa Burns about her work with Wardliparingga, the relationships the Wardliparingga team has with the Aboriginal people and communities it seeks the guidance and knowledge of, and how she hopes her research will translate into real-life practice in health and community services.
