Budget fails to Raise the Rate

This year’s Budget is the 25th in a row that’s failed to provide a real increase in Newstart.
While the Government has extended the one of energy assistance payment to include Newstart recipients, many are disappointed with what the Budget has to offer some of the most vulnerable Australians.
Pas Forgione, coordinator of the Raise the Rate campaign at the Australian Council of Social Service joins Small Change‘s Bonnie Parker to share his thoughts on the Budget and what’s next for the campaign.
