Measles back in Australia

Posted on: Fri 12 Apr 2019

Measles is back in Australia.

There have been 92 measles cases in this year so far, compared to the 103 cases in 2018.

Unvaccinated adults and travellers are the main source of contagion and the Government is prompting this part of the population to check that their vaccination is up to date.

Robert Booy, Professor in Child and Adolescent Health from Sydney Medical School, joins Tom Mann and Zoe Kounadis to discuss the outbreak and the preventive actions towards the disease.
