Growing up African in Australia is a new anthology edited by Australian writer Maxine Beneba Clarke that explores themes of displacement, racism and survival that all contribute to the idea of Africanness within an Australian context. Lecturer at Southern Cross University, Kathomi Gatwiri talked with Tom and Zoe about the book and why she believes these stories are important.
