Making medical abortions accessible

Australian women have had access to the drug mifepristone when prescribed by a doctor for 13 years. This drug allows for a medical abortion opposed to a surgical abortion. However only some women, in some parts of the country, are able to access it.
Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Caroline de Costa, from James Cook University joins Breakfast’s Zoe Kounadis and Tom Mann to discuss more.
