Paul Rosenzweig: Cadets on Air & NMBVA Historian
Posted on: Mon 25 Mar 2019
The 6 Wing Public Affairs & Communication Officer, Flying Officer (AAFC) Paul Rosenzweig OAM, reflects on some of the highlights of our on-air interviews with AAFC cadets over the past two years as they’ve told listeners about their achievements – from gaining flying qualifications before even getting their ‘L’ plates, to achieving in the Duke of Edinburgh International Awards. It’s been a great experience for the Cadets, Paul, Listeners, and Service Voices alike.
Paul is also a retired Army Major, and is the Public Affairs Officer and historian for the SA/NT Branch of the National Malaya-Borneo Veterans Association. Through his research, he has helped the Branch commemorate the fallen from the Malayan Emergency and Confrontation in Malaysia and Borneo. We ask Paul about this other side of the volunteer work he does, why he does it, and for his take on the 2019 Malaya Borneo Veterans Reunion in Sarawak… coming up in August 2019. Paul gives tells us how his research has thrown up little known information on Filipino Australian Veterans.
