On this day in 1952, King George VI died during the night while his daughter, Princess Elizabeth was on a tour in Kenya. Once the news reached her, she immediately flew back to England but this time she was proclaimed Queen of the United Kingdom.
In 1981, George Harrison, Paul McCartney and Ringo star released All Those Years Ago, a tribute to former John Lennon, who was murdered in December the previous year.
Just last year, Elon Musk’s Space X successfully launched and re landed the Falcon Heavy Rocket. this was a big deal as usually the rockets used to launch are not able to be reused, dramatically cutting costs for future launches.
