Democracy begins in kindergarten

In recent weeks we’ve seen students strike over climate change inaction, and have witnessed student-led action regarding offshore detention. The federal government’s response to this has been dismissive, with Resource Minister Matt Canavan stating that, “The best thing you’ll learn about going to a protest is how to join the dole queue.”
Early childhood expert Dr. Yarrow Andrew joins Packed Lunch to share a differing perspective, and to chat about how a vibrant democracy begins in kindergarten.
