Newstart Choir at ALP National Conference

The Anti-Poverty Network SA arranged for attendees of the Australian Labor Party National Conference to be met with a choir of peaceful protestors. Their song of choice, ‘It’s Time’, was used by Gough Whitlam and the Labor Party’s 1972 election campaign, and has been reworded to stir action in raising the Newstart Allowance.
Jai and Claudia from the Anti-Poverty Network SA joined us in the studio fresh from the rally, keen to discuss the campaign’s progress so far along with their hopes and plans for future action.
