Posted on: Thu 13 Dec 2018
A new book Alternative Food Politics: From the Margins to the Mainstream covers topics ranging from ag-tech start-ups and social justice projects, to new ways of mediating food waste, celebrity, and ‘ethical’ foods, as well as the role of the media in changing perceptions.
Media Lecturer Dr Michelle Phillipov from the University of Adelaide, who contributed to and co-edited the book, joins Ian on Breakfast to discuss the ways media and pop culture lead food trends.
