Supported decision-making for people living with dementia
Posted on: Fri 23 Nov 2018
A new guide on supported decision-marking has been developed for people living with dementia, their family members and carers.
Susan Kurrle, Geriatrician and Curran Professor in Health Care of Older People at the University of Sydney, discusses the issues associated with substitute decision-making and why this is helpful to neither those living with dementia nor families and their carers, and the ideas and decision processes explored in the guide.
