In 1605, the Gunpowder Plot took place, which is the notorious event behind Guy Fawkes Night.

In 1955, the Vienna State Opera House in Austria formally re-opened after World War II.

In 1935, The game ‘Monopoly’ was introduced by Parker Brothers Company for sale in the U.S.

In 2005, Beach Boys singer Mike Love sued the group’s mastermind, Brian Wilson.

In 1988, The Beach Boys, who hadn’t had a number one hit since ‘Good Vibrations’ in 1966, top the charts with ‘Kokomo’, used in the movie Cocktail. It’s the longest gap between number one hits for any artist.
