Australia’s offshore detention centre in Nauru has been in the spotlight these past few weeks due to repeated pleas from the public and medical experts. They are calling for the removal of refugees and The University of Adelaide’s Professor Alex Reilly explains why to Breakfast‘s Sam and Casey.
‘These people don’t want to be there…they’ve never lived on a tropical island in their lives,’ Alex said in response to Tony Abbott’s statement that Nauru is a very nice tropical island.
