Failed referendum to ban same-sex marriage in Romania

The murder of a female journalist in Bulgaria has shocked the country and reopened the debate around safety for women journalists.
Also, a referendum in Romania to redefine marriage as strictly between men and women failed to meet the minimum turnout threshold.
