Bike Sharing schemes promised a new future of mobility challenging the dominance of the car and the fixed routes of public transport.
The experience of it for many was discarded bikes on roadsides and public areas. Now, many of the companies are closing shop. There are indicators that our cities just aren’t equipped for the bike revolution.
Ian Buchanan, Professor of Cultural Studies at the University of Wollongong, joins Nick and Ian on Breakfast to talk about this issue.
