Indigenous employment gap widening – Dr Zoe Staines

The Close the Gap targets set out to halve the employment gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians, they have yet to be met.
In fact, in some parts of remote Australia, the gap may have in fact widened since 2011.
Although the median Indigenous income has improved overall, the income gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians is also growing.
