For the last five years, asylum seeking families detained on Nauru have been housed behind fences in tents that provided little privacy or protection from the elements.
The mouldy tents have now been hastily dismantled as Nauru prepares to host international leaders and media for the Pacific Island Forum, which begins this weekend.
Ian Rintoul, spokesperson for the Refugee Action Coalition joined Nick Ward on Breakfast to discuss the issue of dismantling of these tents on Nauru.
