The United Nation’s Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women has issued over 90 recommendations to the Australian Government for the improvement of women’s rights.
The recommendations come after the UN’s review into Australia’s compliance with the women’s rights treaty earlier this month.
Breakfast’s Tom Mann and Casey Tonkin speak with Law Reform Solicitor and Clinical Legal Supervisor from the University of Sydney, Maria Nawaz, to discuss what Australia needs to do to change.
