Royal Commission Uncovers Exploitation

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in remote communities are being exploited by insurance companies, the Banking Royal Commission has heard.
Companies are deliberately drawing on cultural obligations and poor financial literacy to sign people up for products they don’t need.
Breakfast’s Rachel McDonald spoke to Lynda Edwards from Financial Counselling Australia about the tricks these companies are using.
