Living and working on the lands of the Boandik people

Posted on: Tue 10 Jul 2018

Pangula Mannamurna is a Mount Gambier-based organisation which provides services to Aboriginal people living in the South East.

Andrew Birtwistle-Smith has recently taken up the role as CEO, after years of work in government service delivery in Indigenous affairs.

He speaks to Small Change’s Lisa Burns about what it means to be back living and working on the lands of his ancestors, why he feels it’s important to share his own lived experiences of hardship, the ongoing impact of colonisation in Mt Gambier, and his reflections on this year’s NAIDOC Week theme, Because of Her, We Can.
