It’s Time! Anti-Poverty Network SA Launches Campaign To Raise Newstart

This week on A Peace of the Action we were joined in the studio by Claudia and Tammy from the Anti-Poverty Network SA to talk about the launch of their campaign to raise the rate of the Newstart allowance. The payment has not been raised in real terms since 1994, and is currently $160 per week below the poverty line. Listen to Claudia, Tammy and other members of the APN-SA talk about the consequences of our punititve welfare system, and how they are fighting back and winning!
