Best Independent Label noms announced

Nominees for the Best Independent Label category in the 2018 AIR Awards have been announced.
The recipient of this year’s Best Independent Label award will receive a digital marketing package valued at $20,000 to help showcase their talent to the music public, thanks to AIR Awards partner moshtix.
The 2018 AIR Awards Best Independent Label nominees are:
- ABC Music
- Milk! Records
- Dot Dash Recordings
- Bad Apples Music
- UNFD
The Best Independent Label award category was introduced in 2012 to celebrate and pay tribute to the great work that is done by homegrown labels. To be eligible, labels need to have artists or releases nominated for awards in the given year. This forms the long list of nominees, from which AIR members vote.
The winner of the Best Independent Label Award will be announced at the 2018 AIR Awards on Thursday 26 July at the Queen’s Theatre, Adelaide, joining the list of previous winners — Pieater, I OH YOU, Milk! Records, Future Classic and ElefantTraks.
