It seems that psychedelics could do more than simply alter perception.
Recent research out of the US has studied the impact of psychedelic drugs when using them to treat mental illnesses such as depression and anxiety. They are effective as a treatment because they are able to alter neurons in the brain and change the way our brain thinks.
David Olson researcher and assistant professor from the University of California Davis joins Breakfast‘s Nick Ward to discuss the effects and what it all means.
