On This Day – 13 June

Posted on: Wed 13 Jun 2018

On this day in 1920 the US Post Office made the responsible statement that children cannot be sent by parcel post – that’s right! When the US Postal Service instituted a national parcel service, a few families saw an opportunity to send some of their more ‘delicate’ items through the mail.

13 June also marks the day when the largest ever exhibition of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo’s work was opened on the 100th anniversary of her birth.

Icelandic singer, Bjork released her second solo album on this day 23 years ago.

Breakfast producer, Kvitka Becker, joins Tom and Casey to share everything you need to know about 13 June through time.
