Have you ever thought of walking a mile in someone else’s shoes?
Each year, Adelaide’s Hutt St Centre organise an early morning, mile long, walk to raise funds and awareness of homelessness. The event shines a light on some of the experiences of people who are homeless and how the Hutt St Centre helps in providing food, shelter, healthcare, job pathways and other support.
The annual walk, work of the Hutt St Centre, and experiences of people living rough has been captured in a series of short videos produced by Colourblind Films. Ernestine Perkins sat down with the managing director, Benjamin Fleming, to discuss the motivation and inspiration behind the project.
