Bringing Silk Road food to Adelaide
Posted on: Sat 24 Mar 2018
Xi’an is one of the great ancient cities of China – the starting point for the Silk Road, with the amazing archaeology of the Entombed Warriors and major Neolithic sites nearby.
It has its own cuisine – and that’s the focus of Tasty Xi’an – set up last year by Jing and Justin Guo.
It features triple-pulled breads and flat noodles, combined with long-cooked pork and beef, and lamb from the significant Muslim influence in China’s North-West.
Soups and sauces draw their character from steeping with as many as 20 spices and herbs.
