More forced removals an offensive knee-jerk reaction

There have been calls for more Aboriginal children to be removed from their parents, following the alleged rape of a toddler in Tennant Creek a few weeks ago.
Narungga Elder, Tauto Sansbury has described this as a knee-jerk reaction which ignores the consequences of decades of forced removals.
Tauto explains to Small Change‘s Lisa Burns how he felt when he first heard the news from Tennant Creek, what the child protection system is missing when it comes to responding to Aboriginal children and families in crisis, and how we should be helping those who are struggling.
