On this day in history…
In 1803 George Howe, a convict from the West Indies, printed Australia’s first newspaper, The Sydney Gazette and New South Wales Advertiser.
American company ‘Wham-o’, patented the popular children’s toy – the hula hoop – in 1963.
And in 1970, former Red Hot Chilli Peppers’ guitarist, John Frusciante, was born.
