Extension of fee-free ATMs in 85 remote communities

The ACCC says it will continue to allow the banking industry to subsidise privately-provided ATMs in 85 remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
This means privately owned ATMs in these communities will continue to be fee-free.
Coordinator for Financial Capability at Financial Counselling Australia, Lynda Edwards, says the decision is a welcome one and explains to Small Change‘s Lisa Burns what this means for the people living in those communities.
