SA gas project on the nose

Posted on: Sun 21 Jan 2018

However, all is not rosy on the energy front. An application for a trial Underground Coal Gasification plant at Leigh Creek is on the table for consideration by the State Government.

Despite the objections of energy experts, environmental groups, nearby residents and Traditional Owners, the Government has opened the proposal for public consultation. To unpack the issue, Barometer’s Des Lawrence spoke to Craig Wilkins, Chief Executive of Conservation SA.
