On this day in 1898, French scientists discovered radium. Pierre and Marie Curie won a Nobel Prize for their discovery, however, radium wasn’t as kind to them.
Also, on this day in 1971, a publican was killed removing a bomb from his pub in Northern Ireland.
Finally, on this day, Bruce Springsteen releases his record-breaking album Born In The USA.
