The Beautiful Girls on anniversary tour

15 years ago, a Sydney roots band The Beautiful Girls took Australia’s indie music scene by storm.
Combining surfy tones, positive vibes and reggae beats, Morning Sun quickly became an instant hit and surged The Beautiful Girls into the indie music spotlight, as did their debut album Learn Yourself.
To celebrate the 15th anniversary of these releases, The Beautiful Girls are heading out on a huge tour across Australia during December.
Lead singer Mat McHugh spoke to Breakfast producer Milly Schultz-Boylen about the tour and the current state of roots music.
