Ronan Dantec – the Role of Cities in Addressing Climate Change

One of the keynote speakers at the recent Eco-Cities International Conference in Melbourne was Ronan Dantec. Monsieur Dantec is a senator in the French senate and also the President of the Climate Change Association.
Monsieur Dantec is also the spokesperson for the International Organisation ‘Unitied Cities and Local Governments’ (UCLG), and was in charge of a parliamentary mission on the role of local and regional authorities in climate negotiations at the Paris Climate Summit at the end of 2015.
Barry Mitchell and Roman Orszanski from 3D radio spoke to Ronan, and asked him about the significance of the Paris agreement for non-state actors in climate change.
