City of Unley inspiring Change Makers

Posted on: Wed 22 Nov 2017

The unemployment rate of South Australia’s youth is increasingly high. The average graduate is unable to obtain a job until four years after study.

The City of Unley’s Change Makers Program has inspired local youth to create their own career paths, and has equipped them with the skills they’ll need to succeed.

Nate Overbeeke, Community Development Project Officer from the Unley City Council, says the program is all about change and creating the future the participants want to see.

Nate added, ‘Participants will learn how to make their idea a reality, learn how to develop and apply a business model, as well as pitch for $1000 of real seed money to kick start their idea.’

Nate Overbeeke joins Breakfast’s Tom and Morgan to discuss the program.
