Saving Bird Lake

When Alinta Energy closed down its Port Augusta power station, it also stopped pumping water from the station into the adjacent Bird Lake. Because of that, Port Augusta residents have had to endure a terrible odour as the lake dried, with other possible health problems. Barry Mitchell spoke to Port Augusta’s Michelle Coles, who is leading a campaign to try to solve this problem.
